104 Days

It's no secret that my favorite band of all time is Yellowcard. This video there are a bunch of fans telling the story of how they got hooked on them. So, I want to do the same. Ocean Avenue came out when I was about 6 years old, and my brothers listened to it a lot when I was a little kid. The song itself along with others like "Way Away" and "Breathing" have been with me my entire life. It wasn't really until they reformed after the hiatus that I really starting obsessing over them. Their album, "When You're Through Thinking Say Yes" was the first CD I bought by them. Around that same time, the marching band I'm in went on a trip to California to perform in the Rose Parade. On our way back, we stopped at the Hard Rock in Vegas where Ryan Key's (the lead singer) guitar was. No one really understood how freaking amazing that was. Not to mention we were walking down Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica the day before. Well, now the Yellowcard song count on my iPod is over 100, and I have a VIP ticket, along with Cardy #2 and Cardy #3, to see them when they come to town. The VIP ticket includes a signed copy on OA Acoustic, early entrance to the venue, and a meet and greet with the band themselves.
