All Time Low's newest single is very much on the harder rock side of their music. The addition to Peirce The Veil's Vic Fuentes featured in it can be attributed to that. Anyway, this song is is just simply a good song. All Time Low is very good at writing catchy choruses and foot-tapping bridges, (see Hello Brooklyn, Dear Maria Count Me In, Weightless) but this song is special in a way that is difficult to describe. In terms of popularity, the band sure has gotten some attention from it. The over 1 million views on YouTube in just a week is testifying of that.
The latest installment to my Blink 182 craze. This song is a pretty depressing song, and is one that I started listening to a lot because of some crappy things that were going on in my life. The parts right before the chorus where they whisper stuff like, "this cant be the end," sets an awesome contrast to the heavy and loud chorus. Down is a song that even though I'm not in a bad mood anymore, I still want to listen to. I find myself wanting the song to be a couple verses longer so I can hear more of the emotion that is wrapped up in it. That is a good indicator to me of finding a song that means something to you; finishing it and wanting to start it over again.
